Hosted by the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester on Sunday 4th May the day saw 120 bloggers come together to share ideas and experiences as well as get to meet each other and network with some great brands.

Each blogger received breakfast and Lunch as well as some fabulously gorgeous cake sponsored by Just Eat and there was even wine provided by Jacobs Creek. Add to that the best goody bags ever seen at a blog conference and you have what I hope was a brilliant day.

Starting at 10:00 but with the introduction starting at 10:30am the day will kicked off in the way I wanted it to continue, mix, mingle and getting chatting.

10:00 – 10:30 – Hello’s and Signing in
10:30 – 11:00 – introduction and Keynote
11:00 – 12:00 – 1st session
12:00 – 13:00 – lunch break/mingle/brands
13:00 – 14:00 – 2nd session
14:00 – 15:00 – break/mingle/brands
15:00 – 16:00 – 3rd session
16:00 – 16:30 – goodbye & keynote
16:30 – raffle/goody bags

Each session was hosted in individual rooms. There was also a large break space plus a large brand area. We started the day together to welcome everyone and then split off into the different rooms for the first session. Each session the bloggers moved around to the next room so they didn’t miss out on any of the discussions.

What were the sessions

1) Photography workshop

Whether you owned a DSLR, Point and shoot, Mobile phone or any other type of camera the brilliant people hosting this workshop were able to help with any issues. From wanting to learn more about styling or props, lighting, editing or taking portraits the bloggers were able to ask one of our expert bloggers for their help and suggestions.

2) Social Media Workshop

Picking out all the brilliant bloggers from our community to tell us how they have done it the Social Media workshop had real people sharing how they used a specific type of social media. From a Pinterest blogger with a ridiculous following to a G+er who would rather hangout than pick up the phone, the serial tweeter to the facebook lover, we had someone to help the bloggers learn new skills in social and make the most of the platforms they were already using.

3) Creative Copy

Being able to write well is the whole point of being a blogger and whether they struggle to tell a story, write an interesting review or make sponsored posts readable the speakers had been there and done it all. With award winning bloggers giving us their tips and sharing some of their secrets we left this session feeling inspired to make our writing stand out.

So there you go the sessions at BlogOn MOSI 2014 were informative, enjoyable and held by some of the best bloggers in our community. All the topics were chosen by bloggers and it has very much been a collaboration for the whole event.

The brands dens also played host to some great brands who had some brilliant opportunities up their sleeves and the goody bags have been one of the most talked about features of Blog On MOSI.

We also raised over £800 on the raffle and tombola in aid of When you wish upon a star which has helped to grant the wishes of sick children.
