I know many bloggers have delved into the art of vlogging at some point since starting their blogs. Many of whom have given up at the first hurdle, some have managed to mix the two merrily and others have given up the written blogs completely in favour of the vlog life.

We all spend hours writing our blog posts but once written it can seem like they are swimming amongst a sea of other similar posts, with so many blogs around it can be hard to make your post seen. A good blog title can not only help to get that post ranked well in search engines but also encourages readers to actually click on that post and read.

Photographing children is very much about capturing an emotion, an expression or a moment that might otherwise be forgotten. Rather like freezing time, these photographs enable us to retain precious memories and often recall how we felt. My daughter is more than used to having a camera pointed at her. Not that she welcomes posing of course – unless it comes with a comedy stance and a silly expression! That said, she can burst out laughing straight afterwards and what a wonderful photo that makes. 

It doesn’t matter how long you have been blogging for, be it 5 months or 5 years – we all get to a point where we look blankly at the screen for hours sitting here with thoughts in our heads but nothing making it onto the screen and of course there will be times when you have absolutely no idea what you want to blog about.

A lot of people are talking about the importance of SSL in the blogging world lately, and it’s not hard to see why. 

Google (the web overlords) have announced that their Chrome browser will soon start warning visitors to non secure sites with a scary red triangle and Not Secure label. They also weigh it as a factor in search results – giving a higher ranking to sites with SSL.

Blog On Conference was first founded in 2012 by Laura who was frustrated that blog conferences were only ever held in London and it has since gone from strength to strength, increasing in popularity ever year as word gets out how good it is.

The inaugural Blog On Christmas Conference took place in Manchester on 25th September and was attended by 170 bloggers from across the UK. The event held at the Manchester Science & Industry Museum invited toy brands to exhibit at the event to showcase their Q4 lines to key social influencers.

The latest Blog On Event took place over the Bank Holiday weekend at the Manchester Science and Industry Museum.

It provides an opportunity for brands to meet bloggers face to face to showcase new products, and to also forge working relationships to build their brand amongst their key target audience.
